We are all tied to the peg of responsibilities in our lives, where our responsibilities change in every stage of life, because when we are Child, our parents are responsible for us, then as we grow older, we are responsible for our parents and then for our wife and children, and we fulfill our responsibilities.
This responsibility is fulfilled in two ways, first by taking care of our own people, second by earning money, by fulfilling the needs of ourselves and our relatives.
So a responsible person is one who understands the needs of his family, takes care of them, and earns money to fulfill them. Whenever it is said about a person in society that he is very good and the whole world praises him, then religious education says that the family members of that person should be asked about that person, how is his behavior towards his family members?
As a responsible person or as an irresponsible person, the identity of a good person is that his family members call him good, otherwise some social type of people are very responsible for the whole world, but are not able to take care of their own family members and their needs, because the first responsibility of all of us is our family.
So the identity of a good person has come in front of us, along with that it is a matter of home or family, but because we are social creatures, we also have some responsibilities towards the society, in which first comes our family, then our relatives, then our neighbors and as our circle increases, then we can be concerned about the whole world and can make whatever contribution we want.
And such people still exist in this world, who are serving humanity at a very big level.
If we see, the people with resources help every weaker section of our society in every possible way, try to make them self-dependent, try to educate them, try to update and upgrade them.
Although the mind tells us that the wealth we earn is ours, only our family members have the right over it, but the wise people follow the religious teachings and listen to their heart, so they consider others also as a part of their earnings and help people in every possible way, by this they get virtue, stay away from troubles and diseases, and this brings blessings in their wealth and life.
Help or charity is the only transaction in this world, in which money, wealth, ability and education increases by sharing.
Along with this, its other aspect is that it bridges the gap between rich and poor in the society, because if this does not happen then people become enemies of each other, and the way Robin Hood was famous, that he used to rob from the rich and distribute the goods and wealth among the poor, then such a concept can spread in the society, so helping the needy people through Religious Teachings is very important to keep human and the fabric of society better, by following this only the whole society can be uplifted, and this has been done successfully in many countries.
Here it should also be noted that among all the countries in this world, some are resource-rich and some are resource-poor. So, the resource-rich help each other from time to time through numerous programs. Under this, the World Health Organization helps most of the countries in this world, especially the weaker sections, under the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). Along with this, Saudi Arabia, which has emerged as a major power in the world on a large economic basis, also helps people in every possible way, but it does not publicize it. It does this work of help very quietly.
Along with this, have we ever paid attention to the fact that when the situation of a country worsens or it becomes bankrupt, then why do the neighbouring countries or rich countries immediately help that country? They do this because when our neighbour is in trouble, then somehow his troubles will also fall upon us and the bad people will take advantage of his helplessness and will use our neighbour as a weapon against us. It is said that if someone's neighbour is not good, then that person's life passes with a lot of trouble.
So, similarly, I got an opportunity to express my views on this subject, through a meeting with a friend of mine a few days back, where he told me that he will donate a certain part of his income to meet the needs of a needy family among his relatives, and will update and upgrade the children of that family by providing them education, so that they may eat the fish gifted by him, but they should get prepared for the future, and become fishermen, so that they do not remain dependent on anyone. I wish we all have a similar thinking, that we become the ones who provide fishing rods (self-reliance) to the needy people around us, so that they do not remain dependent on anyone.
So my friend told me that if we who spend wastefully on luxuries or on our hobbies, even some people consume intoxicants, if they decide that they will not consume intoxicants on some days of the month and by saving that money, they will help their relatives, who are truly needy But self-respecting, these people do not beg in front of others.
The biggest advantage of this will be that the drug addict will be freed from his addiction for a few days and it is possible that in the coming time, this person will become drug-free because people's blessings have a deep impact on our lives and this person will be saved from major financial, physical and social losses in the present and future.
Then with this small initiative we can transfer money to a large section of the society bucket wise, for that we do not have to make a big sacrifice, just form a small group and spend a part of our earnings to uplift our relatives and neighbors, with this the fraudsters who are roaming around begging and doing fraud in the society will also become food and earners by working hard otherwise their number is increasing because we do not have any system to stop them, there is no review mechanism of any kind, where the words spoken by them can be verified.
Otherwise, what happens is that when a person is helped repeatedly, he stops working, his spirit dies, and he just becomes dependent on others, this leads to dependency instead of self-reliance in the society, which is not beneficial for a civilized society, because this brings negative thoughts in the minds of the hardworking people, that if we are earning so little money after working so hard, then if we start taking help from people, then we will not have to work, and we and our family will be able to survive very easily.
Let me share an information here, that in our Asia especially it is seen that here the wages of a laborer who sheds blood and sweat from morning till night, is many times less than a beggar, so we should question ourselves, whether by giving alms to the powerful people, are we making the society self-reliant or beggars?
